Welcome Aboard Ensign Sizemore
Welcome Aboard Ensign Will Sizemore Sr.
Will has been assigned as the USS Starquest’s Head Intelligence Officer.
Will is currently on assignment, but will be reporting in (at our spacedock) this weekend…we look forward to meeting you (again).
I will let Will “introduce” himself…
I have been a member of United Federation Starfleet, a sim and non-profit organization in Second Life, where I am the Deputy Director (assistant Division Head) of Intelligence. My rank there is Ensign, and so my rank of Ensign here is only fitting. As the USS StarQuest’s Intelligence Officer I hope to bring to the group my mastery of all knowledge regarding other species’ technological, political, socio-economic, strategic, and tactical tendencies. This is pretty much what I do in the real world, too. I’d like to translate my role into a modified role playing game using the D20 system. I’m not a great DM/GM, but I am a writer and a role player. My son and daughter might be joining me this weekend. My son is almost 2, my daughter is 8 and actually likes Star Trek.
Assuming that I do get out of the Army, I may be coming home permanently, but I need to jump right into a high paying salary in order to do so. I should be here in Georgia for many months, so I figure that within the context of the USS Starquest, I should probably be on an extended away mission, perhaps gathering intelligence and posting it to the ship’s computer.
Many MANY years ago, my cousin and I met a kid in the mall wearing white makeup, yellow lipstick, and a yellow and black jumpsuit <sounds like Jon Litz>. When we asked him what he was doing, he proudly informed us that he was an android and he was of the Soong type, and also that he was a member of your crew. So we went to one meeting in the Golden Gate branch of the public library and our mothers made us leave just prior to being shown the season priemier of I think the third season of TNG. We were not allowed to return. Then almost six years ago in Gemrany, an Army Captain (Lieutenant in Starfleet) asked me, “What was the most famous episode of Star Trek?” That being an easy question, I answered it for him. So he bugged me for many months on these trivia questions so that he could make rank in his chapter.
I have always wanted ‘back’ in the group, and hope to participate as much as my family obligations allow.
